Home Harmony Care Care is usually on the lookout for talented people to join our team. In particular, we’re often ready to recruit Family Assistants for long or short-term placements.

The Family Assistant role incorporates traditional nannying, but your remit may go well beyond that. Depending on the placement, you might be asked to carry out domestic duties (e.g. shopping, cleaning, ironing), scheduling tasks and managing a family diary, or even walking the dog! However, we’re careful to match the skill-set of our employees with the requirements of the placement.

Develop your skills

We believe that joining Home Harmony Care Care presents excellent opportunities for personal and career development. Firstly, we insist on comprehensive training for all members of our team. As a minimum, your initial training will cover:

  • Safeguarding
  • Child Protection
  • EYFS
  • Level 3 Paediatric First Aid (12 hours)

All training is delivered as part of recognised courses delivered by specialist providers.

Secondly, working in such a flexible role will help you develop a broad range of skills that are attractive to future employers. You will also work with a number of clients, further increasing your experience.

Be part of a team

Nannying and related work is immensely satisfying. However, one potential downside is that you’re usually the only employee – and without others around you, that can feel isolating. At Home Harmony Care Care, we recognise this and ensure that you feel supported and part of a genuine team. Our Family Assistants meet regularly for social days out and play dates and we also offer monthly team meetings and 1:1 appraisals.
